This balance should be taken into consideration so that you can confidently give a pursuit a try that naturally supports a healthy balance between these three important elements.

Many people underestimate how difficult it may be to just "follow your passion". That may not be good advice, especially in the short-term, as you may quickly find out that you can't speak fluently in it especially on the other side of a cold call. For example, if one's passionate about being a conductor and they dream about leading an orchestra but can't make any sense of seeing an intricate piece of music (language) and they can't play even the easiest song on the piano (competence), they should reconsider the pursuit. This template is good for career considerations too.
